A Dickens Holiday Returns to Downtown Fayetteville on Nov. 28
A Dickens Holiday returns to Downtown Fayetteville this November, with a host of fun activities.

The streets of downtown Fayetteville will spring to life on November 28, as the 26th annual Dickens Holiday transforms the city center. Starting at noon, the Fayetteville History Museum kicks off this much-loved winter tradition.
Early birds take note. The first 100 visitors at the Franklin Street museum will snag special "Dickens Dollars" for local shops. This milestone marks a quarter-century of bringing 1800s British charm to this North Carolina hub.
Streets buzz with vendors, food trucks roll in, and carriages clip-clop down cobblestone paths. Costumed actors bring the past alive, from jolly Father Christmas to stern London bobbies and beloved faces from "A Christmas Carol."
The Fezziwig Ball swirls with live music while the Cape Fear Heritage Dance Group twirls in period style. Guests can sip and nibble at an authentic Victorian tea service.
Literary buffs won't want to miss Dr. Elliot Engel's talk on the famed writer. Sweet tooths and fashionistas can try their luck in the gingerbread crafting and costume contests.
As dusk falls, Segra Stadium's holiday lights will twinkle to life. The candlelight procession stands as the night's crowning jewel. Staff call it "a breathtaking moment of sight and sound that marks the official start of the holiday season."
This festival starts "Elves' Night Off," weekly Friday gatherings through December. Visitors can pick up an Elf Season Guide at the info booth to spot special locations in Fayetteville's Social District.
Dream Finders Homes joins Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in presenting the festivities, with backing from Fayetteville Public Works Commission and local businesses.
Find your way to 325 Franklin Street for the noon start. The magic continues until the last firework fades from view.
