At their temporary Owen Drive spot in Fayetteville, Cape Fear Regional Theatre has started its run of Little Shop of Horrors. Shows will go on through Nov. 16 while crews work on the construction of the upgraded main theater in Haymount.

Emmy winner Tyce Diorio crafts the dance moves. On stage, Deon Releford-Lee brings Seymour to life, Emily Norah Samuelson steps into Audrey's shoes, and Marc de la Concha takes on Mr. Mushnik.

While Samuelson makes her first bow with the company, de la Concha has spent years here. Since taking the education director role in 2019, he's stepped into parts in The Addams Family and Shrek the Musical.

"This show has very fun and campy moments, a little spooky at times," said Cape Fear Regional Theatre Artistic Director Mary Catherine Burke, according to CityView. "It's a dysfunctional family trying to improve their circumstances—a bunch of whack-a-doos just being profoundly hilarious."

Want to catch a show? Head over Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Weekend matinees start at 2 p.m. Main seats cost $20 to $39. Side spots go for $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends.

Special nights pack extra fun. Sip free Bloody Marys before Thursday's show. Friday brings sci-fi trivia with Venus Fly Trap prizes up for grabs. Military members save 25% on October 29, while teachers get the same deal on October 31.

At the main site, walls rise and spaces take shape. Marketing Director Ashley Nichole Owen points out, "You can officially see the outline of our new facility, including our two new classrooms, expanded lobby, and our new scene shop."
