Fayetteville embraces the holiday spirit for an entire weekend filled with lights, laughter, and traditions. With the warm nostalgia of the 26th Annual Dickens Holiday, the stage performance of "A Christmas Story," and the twinkling Festival of Lights, you can feel the excitement in the air. Add in live music, themed fun, and local performances, and it's a weekend made for celebrating the spirit of the season.

26th Annual Dickens Holiday

A Dickens Holiday returns to downtown Fayetteville, transforming the city into a Victorian wonderland filled with festive charm. Now in its 26th year, this beloved festival includes horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, costumed performers, themed vendors, and a candlelight procession and lighting ceremony at dusk. A range of new experiences, as well as favorite returning events, such as the Fezziwig Ball, the Royal Tea Experience, and the Dickens Lecture, make this community celebration a must-attend holiday experience.

Set in the Midwest in the 1940s, it follows young Ralphie Parker's hilarious quest to convince everyone that a Red Ryder BB gun is the perfect Christmas gift, despite warnings that he'll "shoot his eye out." Packed with all the film's iconic moments, this heartwarming production captures the humor, chaos, and timeless charm of family life during the holidays.

Festival of Lights: Drive Through Lights and Tiny's Winter Wonderland

Sweet Valley Ranch's Festival of Lights transforms Fayetteville into a shimmering wonderland, featuring 1.2 million lights, animal displays, and Tiny's Winter Wonderland with inflatables, a fire pit, and a big-screen holiday movie. Visitors can drive through the dazzling light show, then enjoy wagon rides, Santa photos, food trucks, and more — making it a magical evening out for the whole family.
