Cumberland County Government will host a career fair on Friday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Regional Library, located at 855 McArthur Road in Fayetteville. The career fair aims to help connect residents with opportunities and prepare them for the hiring process.

Job seekers can meet department representatives, learn about openings, and submit applications at the event. Resume-writing help will be provided.

A clothing closet will offer free business attire and shoes. Residents needing ties, suits, dresses, or other professional clothing can take what they need.

Many government positions offer benefits like medical, dental, and vision plans. Paid leave, 401(k) contributions, and an on-site employee wellness clinic and employee pharmacy are also part of the benefits.

An employee childcare center runs on-site to support workers who need childcare. This service exists as part of the benefits available to staff members.

The fair targets residents from the region and surrounding areas. Residents can explore different government work paths in several departments. Some positions require specific skills, while others offer training.
